Cheryl Lala - Teaching Professional
Cheryl is a lifelong golfer and grew up in Northern California playing on the JGANC and AJGA junior golf tours. She won the California State Junior Girl's Title in 1995, the NCGA/CIF Girl's High School Championship in 1997, was a member of the Northern California Team at the America's Cup in 1996 and also played in the Junior World Championship at Torrey Pines. Graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree from UC Berkeley, she was a student-athlete and varsity member of the California Women's Golf Team. Cheryl began instructing golf as an Assistant at the Meadow Club in Marin County, and eventually developed the Men's and Women's Golf Programs at Dominican University in San Rafael, California. As the Head Coach of both programs she was recognized as 'Coach of the Year' in 2004. Most recently, she has been teaching in San Francisco and has competed on the DURAMED FUTURES TOUR amongst other ladies professional mini-tour events. She is working on attaining her LPGA Teaching and Club Professional certification and loves working with all skill levels from juniors, new golfers, to scratch players alike.
